Foraging Day Course
Our Foraging and Cooking Day Course runs from 10.30am- 3.30pm.
The day involves a morning session touring our grounds (we're lucky to have diverse habitats here: seashore, woodland, fields and hedgerows) identifying around a dozen edible plants/flowers/roots/herbs etc. (and also a few of the ones you shouldn't eat!). We then head back to the cottage kitchen to prepare a few dishes covering different outdoor cooking techniques (hot smoking/butchery/filleting/cooking over the fire) and finish the afternoon with a Feast.
Lunch, equipment, instruction and soft drinks provided - just bring yourselves! We would look to cover meat and fish as well as foraging. Please let us know if any vegetarians are coming, and we can plan accordingly.
