Foraging Day Course

Private Foraging courses available for groups of 6+. Contact us to arrange a date.

Adult £38

Child £25 (6-16 years)

Our Foraging Day Course runs from 10-3pm.

The day involves a morning session touring the 7th Rise HQ: a 300 year old charcoal burner's cottage surrounded by oak woodland and set above a private creek overlooking the river Fal. After collecting some wild ingredients, you will head back to the cottage kitchen to prepare a few dishes covering different outdoor cooking techniques and finish the afternoon with a feast.

We're lucky to have diverse habitats on site: seashore, woodland, fields and hedgerow and during the day you will be shown how to identify at least a dozen edible plants, flowers, roots and herbs, plus a few unedible ones!

If the weather stays dry, we have a long outdoor dining table and if it rains we have an indoor space available too.

Lunch, equipment, instruction and hot drinks provided - just bring yourselves (and maybe a notebook). We sometimes include meat and fish in the meal; please let us know if you have any dietary requirements and we can plan accordingly.

Ages 6+ welcome.
