What should I bring on a day course?

Rucksack
Water bottle
Good grip shoes
Sensible clothes for hot/cold and wet/dry weather

Do I have to bring bedding?

No. We provide comfortable mattresses with clean sheets, duvets and pillows. However please bring your own sleeping bag if you feel the cold. We also really encourage sleeping outdoors, after all, a true re-wilding experience should include at least one night out in the woods or under the stars! Most people rarely get the opportunity so we encourage you to take it!

Is firewood included?

Yes. There will always be an allocated amount of split logs for the duartion of your stay. We also encourage some collection of dry deadwood from the woodland.

Are there any showers?

Yes. We have 2 hot, outdoor, fresh water showers, with a view of the river Fal!

What are the sleeping arrangements?

We sleep up to 16 people comfortably in our 7 rustic accommodations: the cottage (sleeps 10 in 4 rooms, 1 of which is a bunk bed), hunting lodge (sleeps 2), potting shed (sleeps 2 + 2 camp beds), shepherd's hut (sleeps 2).

What is the route like from the meeting point to the Cottage?

From the parking area/meeting point, allow 15 minutes for the walk. We will be crossing farm fields and walking down a dirt track. It can get muddy at times through the fields and woods so appropriate footwear and a moderate level of fitness is required. Please do not bring pull along luggage. Back packs are much more appropriate and be prepared to carry whatever you bring for 15 minutes.

Shall I bring extra food for the catered Adventure weekends?

We pride ourselves on supplying the best quality, local produce celebrating and supporting the areas hunters, butchers, grocers and bakers. However feel free to bring any extras you may enjoy but be careful not to spoil your re-wilding experience by bringing too many comforts from home. It defeats the purpose.

How far is the nearest shop?

The nearest shop is around 6 miles from the road, and the cottage is around a 15 minute walk from the road. We recommend you collect any supplies before arriving as it is impractical and detrimental to your experience to leave during your time here.

Do I have to get involved in all the activities during an experience weekend?

No, we promote freedom here at 7th Rise so you are at liberty to do as much or little as you please. But we do encourage you to at least try things!

What is the deposit/cancellation policy?

A 25% non refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days before the booked date.

Please see our 'Terms and Conditions' for full refund/rebooking options. We are a niche, outdoor experience by booking only so unfortunately short notice changes leaves us without the sufficient opportunity to rebook the experience.
